WomenSteps (“the Site”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using the WomenSteps website (https://www.womensteps.com).

​1. Notice of Alleged Infringement

​If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, please report alleged copyright infringements by completing a formal DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement and delivering it to our Designated Copyright Agent.

​Upon receipt of the Notice, WomenSteps will take whatever action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate, including removal of the challenged material from the Site.

​Your Notice must include the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
  2. Identification of the material that you claim is infringing, including the exact URL(s) where the material is located.
  3. Your contact information, including your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A Good Faith Statement: "I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted materials described above as allegedly infringing is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
  5. ​A Statement of Accuracy: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."

​3. Counter-Notification

​If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our Designated Agent. The counter-notification must include your contact information, identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed in error.

​4. Repeat Infringer Policy

​In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, WomenSteps has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, users or contributors who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the Site and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
